From the 1940s until the 1960s, the series was very popular in Belgium and the Netherlands thanks to the funny, engaging and suspenseful stories. It was created by Willy Vandersteen (1913-1990), and since his death, a dedicated team of writers and artists have continued publishing new stories. Suske en Wiske ( Spike and Suzy in the UK, Willy and Wanda in the USA, Luke and Lucy in the 2009 film and video game, Bob et Bobette in France, more on the Trivia subpage) is a long-running (since 1945) Flemish comic book series. We will be back with the sale schedule.The most famous children in the Dutch speaking world (Belgium, The Netherlands, The Dutch Antilles.) What this concert offers particularly is a unifying experience that derives from the beauty of the sounds Teodora Brody reaches for and also an encounter of various musical genres and worlds. In these challenging times, when people need to find their inner selves more than ever and regain the joy of living, the Unifying Worlds concert aims to move not only the jazz and classical music lovers, but also at the general public, interested in musical eclecticism and exploring the nouveau. The outcome will be a program in which Teodora Brody will present worldwide unique vocal versions of instrumental classics, including premieres of George Enescu’s Rhapsodies I and II, Beethoven’s Pathétique and Moonlight Sonatas Bartok’s Romanian Dances, and J. The Unifying Worlds concert will embark the audience on a surprising inner journey, where the versatile and creative Teodora Brody will blend the elements of classical music with the spontaneity of jazz and the depth and strength of the Romanian Doina. Alongside Teodora will perform Calin Grigoriu on guitar, Andrei Kivu on cello, and Joca Perpignan on percussion, with the Romanian Opera Choir as a special guest. The performance is part of the Creative Bucharest series within the 2021 George Enescu International Festival.
